I love fashion and there are a lot of clothes that I like, but there were times when I thought “If I change this a little bit, it will become my kind of design,” so I started to make things myself from then on. When I was little I attended classes and learned basic things, but now I teach myself. Lately, I attach the brand name “Ai DESIGNS (愛 DESIGNS)” to the clothes I make and share it on social media so it will get noticed by more people.―What is rewarding and fascinating about designing?like it very much when people who see the clothes I made or me wearing those clothes tell me that “They're beautiful” and “You can make such nice clothes.”―On the other hand, what do you fi nd challenging?nce I decide on a design, I make a pattern paper, but I fi nd the work challenging.―What is most important to you in your activities?consciously adopt the style of Japanese kimono on the clothes I design. I read books and watch movies and try to look up what I don't understand. I think that you get better by talking to people than studying with textbooks.
